Job Description

FreshPoint, a prominent division of Sysco Corporation, is a leading foodservice distributor dedicated to providing high-quality fresh produce and exceptional customer service to restaurants, hospitality businesses, and other foodservice operators. As a part of a Fortune 500 company, FreshPoint is committed to the values of integrity, reliability, and community service. Serving local markets with efficiency and care, FreshPoint takes pride in being at the heart of food and service, acting as a trusted partner to its customers by delivering fresh products that meet their highest standards. Located in Avon, MA, the company fosters a supportive and dynamic working environment that encourages personal growth and professional development for its employees.

FreshPoint is currently hiring dedicated Local CDL Delivery Drivers who will be responsible for delivering products efficiently while maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction. This full-time role offers local routes that allow drivers to be home daily, with early morning starts typically between 12:00 AM and 3:00 AM and 10-hour route durations, ensuring drivers are home in time for dinner. The compensation package includes an average minimum annual pay of $86,000, with the potential to earn up to $92,000 based on performance and experience. In addition to competitive pay, employees benefit from an extensive range of comprehensive healthcare benefits, paid vacation and holidays, ongoing job skills training, leadership development opportunities, and prospects for career advancement within the organization.

As a CDL Delivery Driver at FreshPoint, you will play a vital role in the daily operations by managing routes with multiple stops, efficiently loading and unloading products, and ensuring accurate delivery to customers. Drivers will operate under a cross-dock model, picking up trucks from a nightly delivery at an assigned dock and returning empty trucks to the designated lot at the end of the route. The position requires interaction with customers, hence excellent communication skills, a strong customer service orientation, and reliability are essential. Drivers often engage in physically demanding tasks such as handling product weights up to 100 pounds, navigating ramps, stairs, and docks under various weather conditions. Adherence to Department of Transportation regulations and company policies is mandatory, including conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections.

FreshPoint values the contributions of experienced drivers and welcomes both CDL Class A and Class B license holders. The company encourages individuals with a background in route delivery and a desire to grow within a reputable and rewarding organization to apply. FreshPoint’s commitment to equal employment opportunity means all qualified candidates will receive fair consideration regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, or any other legally protected characteristic. This opportunity is ideal for individuals seeking a stable and fulfilling career with a respected industry leader who invests in its employees’ success and well-being.
