Sysco is currently hiring Local CDL-A Delivery Drivers for its Plympton, Massachusetts location. This role is ideal for individuals who are dependable, motivated, and passionate about customer service and logistics. As a Local CDL-A Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers on assigned local routes, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of a diverse range of products including meats, produce, frozen foods, groceries, dry goods, and supplies. Drivers will manually unload and deliver these products while maintaining a positive, friendly relationship with customers and demonstrating professionalism in every interaction. The position offers competitive compensation with potential earnings up to $115,000 annually through base pay, overtime, and incentives. Training starts at $29.60 per hour and increases to $37.00 per hour post-training. Job Requirements
- Minimum age of 21 years
- Must successfully submit to pre-employment drug screening
- Valid Interstate Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
- Ability to lift, push, or move products averaging 40 to 60 pounds and up to 100 pounds
- Flexibility to work overtime, including Saturdays and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Valid Interstate Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Customer delivery experience preferred
- Experience using hand cart or hand truck preferred
- Food and beverage industry experience is an asset
- Demonstrated consistent work history
Job Duties
- Safely operate a tractor-trailer on assigned local delivery routes
- Manually unload and deliver products including meats, produce, frozen foods, groceries, dry goods, and supplies
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers while meeting their service expectations
- Maintain accurate delivery records and follow assigned route schedules
- Comply with all company safety and regulatory standards
- Handle freight that may weigh between 40 to 100 pounds
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient operations
