Sysco is currently hiring reliable and motivated Local CDL-A Delivery Drivers in Plympton, MA to join their dynamic team. This is a full-time opportunity that offers local routes with the benefit of being home daily for a healthy work-life balance. The role allows drivers to earn up to $115,000 a year, which includes base pay, overtime, and incentives. Drivers start at $29.60 per hour during the initial training period, progressing to $37.00 per hour after successful completion. The primary responsibility of the Local CDL-A Delivery Driver is to safely and efficiently operate a tractor-trailer to deliver a wide array of foodservice products to customers along an assigned route. This role requires physical ability to lift, push, and move freight weighing between 40 to 60 pounds on average, with some loads reaching up to 100 pounds. Delivery drivers at Sysco are integral to maintaining positive customer relationships by exhibiting a friendly and professional demeanor and becoming familiar with customer operations to meet their expectations. The role requires adherence to safety protocols and compliance with all regulatory and company standards, emphasizing punctuality, reliability, and quality service. Accordingly, drivers must hold a valid interstate Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) with a clean driving record and must pass pre-employment drug screening.

Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must hold a valid interstate Class A Commercial Driver License with a clean driving record
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
- Must be able to handle physical freight duties including lifting up to 100 pounds
- Flexibility to work overtime, Saturdays, and holidays as required
- Reliable transportation and punctuality
Job Qualifications
- Valid interstate Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL)
- Clean driving record
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- At least 21 years of age
- Customer delivery experience preferred
- Experience using hand carts or hand trucks preferred
- Food and beverage industry experience preferred
- Consistent work history over the past two years
Job Duties
- Operate tractor-trailer safely and efficiently on assigned local routes
- Load and unload various foodservice products including meats, produce, frozen foods, groceries, and supplies
- Deliver products to customer locations while maintaining scheduled routes
- Build and maintain positive customer relationships through professional and friendly service
