FreshPoint is currently seeking local CDL Delivery Drivers in Avon, Massachusetts. These full-time positions offer the advantage of home daily routes, with shifts designed to allow drivers to be home in time for dinner. Ideal candidates will start early in the morning, between 12:00 AM and 3:00 AM, navigating routes efficiently while maintaining safety and quality service standards. Drivers play a crucial role in FreshPoint's supply chain by ensuring timely delivery and proper handling of fresh food products across multiple stops on their routes.
The role involves frequent loading and unloading of products, requiring physical stamina to handle items weighing up to 100 pounds. Drivers will operate under a cross-dock model, picking up trucks from a designated loading dock and returning empty vehicles at the end of routes. Successful candidates will manage customer relations professionally, verifying deliveries, addressing discrepancies, and providing top-notch service that meets or exceeds customer expectations.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- valid commercial driver's license Class B or A
- minimum 1 year route delivery experience
- ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 100 pounds
- ability to start early morning shifts between 12:00 AM and 3:00 AM
- ability to work full-time
- excellent customer service skills
- understanding of Department of Transportation regulations
Job Qualifications
- High school or GED or equivalent
- 1 year route delivery experience or applicable background driving a straight truck
- ideal candidate has 1 - 2 years of route delivery experience
- valid commercial driver's license - Class B (Class A preferred)
- must be able to read and understand English
Job Duties
- Provide technical, customer relations, and personnel management for major programs and projects
- runs routes efficiently - meeting or exceeding designated route times
- unload product from the trailer, by hand or using a hand cart, and place it in designated customer storage areas
- frequently lift, push, or move product that weighs 1-75 pounds, up to 100 pounds
- frequently reach up to 72 inches to stack and unstack pallets and hand cart
- constantly bend and twist while loading and unloading product, and retrieving items from trailer
- verify delivery of items with the customer and obtain proper signatures
- contact management for authorization when discrepancies on the invoice and communicate all errors or returns
- perform pre-trip and post-trip responsibilities in accordance with Department of Transportation regulations and Sysco policies and procedures
