The role of Lobby Porter at Parc 55 San Francisco - a Hilton Hotel is an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about hospitality and guest service. This is a full-time position where the successful candidate will join the housekeeping team and play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of the hotel's public spaces. As a Lobby Porter, you will be the face of Hilton’s exceptional hospitality, ensuring that guests feel warmly welcomed and comfortable from the moment they enter the hotel. This role demands flexibility as it involves working mornings, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, offering a dynamic schedule suited for those who thrive in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
In this role, you will be responsible for keeping public areas spotless, including corridors, lobbies, stairwells, elevators, offices, and event spaces. Duties include dusting and polishing furniture, vacuuming and mopping floors, shampooing carpets, washing windows, and emptying trash bins. Additionally, you will delight guests by greeting them warmly, answering their questions, and promptly addressing service requests to contribute to a positive and memorable hotel stay.
Supporting the housekeeping operations is a significant part of the position, including assisting with guest room cleaning and fulfilling various service requests when needed. The role also encompasses handling special projects, such as periodic deep cleaning tasks that might involve flipping mattresses, moving furniture, and waxing floors. Job Requirements
- Availability to work flexible schedules including mornings, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Minimum one year of housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
- Prior customer service experience advantageous
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and moving furniture
- Good communication skills
- Reliable and punctual
- Commitment to delivering exceptional hospitality experience
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- At least one year of experience in housekeeping or cleaning roles highly desired
- Previous experience in customer service roles is a plus
- Ability to work flexible schedules including mornings, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work well both independently and as part of a team
