Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in hotel or related field preferred
- RBS certification preferred
- Ability to stand for entire shift
- Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
- Friendly, attentive and courteous manner with guests and employees
- Flexibility to work long and varied hours
- Willingness to attend required meetings and trainings
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming
- Compliance with all hotel policies and safety rules
- Ability to handle difficult situations and solve problems
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Initiative to anticipate guest and operational needs
- Ability to cross-train in other hotel areas
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in hotel or related field preferred
- RBS certified (preferred)
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions
- Strong service orientation and courteous demeanor
- Ability to work flexible and long hours
- Ability to stand for entire shift
- Familiarity with hotel services and facilities
- Ability to handle guest complaints and problem solve
- Willingness to attend meetings and trainings
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of appearance and grooming
- Ability to show initiative and anticipate guest or operational needs
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with hotel policies
Job Duties
- Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times
- Be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to all guests, managers and fellow employees
- Set up the bar according to hotel standards and ensure prompt and efficient service
- Prepare beverages and cocktails following the hotel’s mixing and presentation standards
- Serve guests with beverage requirements in a friendly, courteous and professional manner
- Break down bar after functions, storing liquor, supplies and equipment as per hotel standards
- Follow all state liquor laws and prescribed procedures to serve liquor responsibly
- Respond promptly to guests’ problems, complaints and accidents
- Ensure cleanliness and tidiness of bar and service areas during service
- Ensure overall guest satisfaction throughout service periods
