The role of Lobby Ambassador at Andaz Miami Beach Resort & Spa is critical in maintaining the resort's hospitality excellence. The ambassador creates an energetic and welcoming presence in the lobby, offering culturally attuned and personalized service to all guests from arrival through their entire stay. This opportunity is ideal for individuals skilled in building strong first impressions and capable of guiding guests smoothly through check-in, orientation, and any special requests or needs.
In this role, priority is given to enhancing the experience for World of Hyatt elite members by anticipating their needs, personalizing recognition, and ensuring the seamless delivery of elite benefits. Collaboration with the Front Office and Guest Services teams is essential to uphold these standards. The ambassador is also tasked with creating memorable and brand-aligned moments for guests, including surprise-and-delight experiences, sharing local stories, providing knowledgeable recommendations, and celebrating special occasions thoughtfully.
Excellent guest communication skills are essential, focusing on rapport-building, proactive problem-solving, and capturing guest preferences to foster loyalty and encourage repeat visits. Operational responsibilities include working closely with various departments such as Concierge, Housekeeping, and Food & Beverage to ensure a seamless guest journey, managing lobby flow during busy periods, and remaining vigilant about VIP arrivals and special events.

Job Requirements
- Diploma in hospitality or tourism management or related field
- Ability to speak a second language fluently is preferred
- Knowledge of Reserve or Opera software is desirable
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite applications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts
- Physical ability to stand or walk for extended periods
- Strong time management and organizational abilities
- Problem-solving aptitude
- Professional and well-groomed appearance

Job Duties
- Assist with responding to guest requests for special arrangements or services by making arrangements or identifying appropriate providers
- Respond to special requests with unique needs and follow up with the guest or vendor to ensure satisfaction
- Accurately enter all guest requests and necessary information in Alice and Opera
- Monitor food and beverage outlets for seating availability, service, and overall feel of a particular area
- Anticipate guests' needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all guests
- Provide gracious and efficient telephone service as it relates to general PBX services
- Review and note all special requests of guests
- Assist with the completion of all items on the daily checklist
- Communicate pertinent guest information to designated departments and personnel
- Provide assistance to the front desk when needed
- Ensure the concierge desk and lobby are clean, organized, and tidy
- Maintain complete knowledge of the property, brand, and World of Hyatt program
- Perform all other related duties as required
