Job Description

Atlas Air Worldwide is a leading outsourced aviation logistics company that operates globally with a presence in over 70 countries. As a major player in cargo, passenger, and leasing operations, Atlas Air Worldwide combines a modern all-Boeing fleet with over 30 years of rich industry experience. The company employs nearly 5,000 teammates across various operational, technical, and corporate roles. Atlas Air Worldwide prides itself on being a corporation driven by safety, service excellence, integrity, innovation, teamwork, and responsibility. These core values guide every aspect of the company’s daily operations and commitment to providing high-quality service to customers around the world.

Join Atlas Air Worldwide and be part of a global team dedicated to moving the world. This role focuses on supporting Atlas Air’s missions by traveling to different off-line stations and supervising or participating in the loading and unloading of aircraft as well as overseeing cargo handling. The position involves ensuring compliance with complex regulations and company standards, maintaining safety and security protocols, and providing quality service to customers. The candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining efficient ground operations including hazardous materials handling, de-icing, fueling, special loads, and weight and balance management.

The role demands continuous learning and credentials maintenance, including passing initial and recurrent training required for loadmaster certification — a certification that qualifies individuals to oversee all elements of ground operations and flight preparation. Responsibilities extend to analyzing and using load manifests and cargo documentation, generating load plans, and ensuring adherence to safety and operational policies. The selected candidate must hold a current passport and be prepared to travel globally, qualifying for a CAAC card due to the nature of AMC (Air Mobility Command) operations.

This position offers the opportunity to work in an exciting and dynamic aviation environment that demands strong organizational and leadership skills. A comprehensive understanding of cargo build-up logs, weight and balance systems, and ground operations equipment is critical. Candidates are expected to contribute to a team-oriented atmosphere and ensure that contract personnel at various sites adhere strictly to safety regulations and company policies. Attention to detail and a commitment to excellence reflect the company culture, empowering each employee to lift ambitions beyond just cargo.

If you have a passion for aviation, a commitment to safety, and the desire to grow within a forward-thinking global aviation leader, this role at Atlas Air Worldwide offers you the chance to elevate your career while actively contributing to the successful and safe movement of cargo and passengers worldwide.
