Job Description

Amrize North America Inc. is a leading company committed to building inclusive workspaces and delivering excellence in the heavy equipment and construction industry. The company is known for providing top-tier operational services and fostering a safe, innovative, and collaborative work environment. Amrize places a strong emphasis on diversity, equity, and inclusion and encourages applications from candidates of varied backgrounds, including women, visible minorities, and persons with disabilities. The organization's dedication to fair hiring practices ensures that all qualified applicants receive consideration based on merit and business needs. With a culture centered on safety, career growth, and holistic wellbeing, Amrize provides its employees with numerous opportunities to develop their skills and advance their careers. Located in Buckeye Hills, AZ, the company offers a compelling workplace for individuals who are eager to contribute their expertise to a forward-thinking and inclusive team.

The Loader Operator role at Amrize North America Inc. is a critical position that involves operating rubber-tired, tractor-type vehicles equipped with front-mounted hydraulically powered buckets or scoops. As a Loader Operator, the individual will be responsible for efficiently lifting, transporting, and dumping bulk materials to and from storage or processing areas, ensuring smooth daily plant operations. This role requires hands-on operation of heavy machinery, including the ability to start engines, control vehicle movements, and engage hydraulic controls to manipulate the loader bucket. The position also involves performing routine maintenance tasks such as lubricating, fueling, and cleaning the equipment, along with conducting pre-shift inspections and daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly checks on various plant components including gates, belts, rollers, bearings, and dust collection systems.

Safety and communication are at the forefront of this role, with the Loader Operator expected to effectively maintain communication channels with supervisors and customers while adhering strictly to safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as respirators. The role demands mechanical knowledge to identify issues needing attention and participate in scheduled maintenance activities such as oil changes and equipment greasing. Beyond hands-on machinery operation, the Loader Operator will contribute to the overall cleanliness and functionality of the batch plant office by managing tasks like vacuuming, trash removal, and cleaning facilities regularly.

Candidates for this role should possess at least 12 months of experience operating loaders, specifically with 980M or 982M models, along with prior experience in heavy equipment, construction, or paving environments. Foundational mechanical maintenance skills, a proven safety record, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds are essential. While a high school diploma or GED is required, bilingual Spanish/English abilities are considered a valuable asset. The company also places emphasis on candidates who demonstrate a commitment to upholding health, safety, and environmental policies in the workplace.

Amrize offers competitive salary packages and comprehensive benefits that support employees' health, financial security, and work-life balance. These benefits include retirement savings options through 401(k) plans, various insurance coverages, well-being programs, flexible spending accounts, and paid time off, among others. The company supports career development through educational assistance programs and fosters a respectful dress code policy. The hiring process is transparent, secure, and free from recruitment fraud, encouraging candidates to apply via official channels.

Joining Amrize as a Loader Operator means becoming part of an organization that values innovation, safety, and inclusivity. It provides a platform for individuals looking to grow their skills in an environment that adequately supports their ambitions and well-being, while contributing to significant infrastructure and operational projects.
