Job Description
The hiring establishment is a dynamic warehousing and logistics company dedicated to maintaining the highest standards in warehouse operations. Specializing in the management and handling of perishable and non-perishable products, the company operates large-scale freezer, cooler, and dry warehouse environments that ensure the safe and efficient movement and storage of goods. With a strong commitment to safety, accuracy, and productivity, this company leverages advanced material handling equipment and warehouse management systems to optimize inventory control and order fulfillment processes. Known for upholding stringent food safety policies and industry best practices, the organization supports a collaborative work culture that empowers employees through comprehensive training, certification programs, and adherence to regulatory compliance such as OSHA and HACCP standards.
The role of a Warehouse Operations Associate is vital within this organization. This full-time position requires individuals to perform all general warehouse functions including loading, unloading, manual depalletizing, receiving, put-a-way, pulls, replenishments, and product selection when qualified and as needed. The job demands versatility and adherence to Preferred Work Methods (PWMs) to maintain operational excellence. Employees will work across various temperature-controlled environments, such as freezers and coolers, which can expose them to extreme cold and warm temperatures that require physical endurance and rigorous attention to safety protocols. The role also involves the safe operation of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) including forklifts, pallet jacks, and reach trucks, which necessitates certification or the ability to become certified.
In addition to technical skills, the Warehouse Operations Associate plays a critical role in quality control by inspecting incoming products for damage, shortages, and compliance with established quality standards. Associates handle accurate data entry and scanning of items using RF equipment as part of the warehouse management system, ensuring precise inventory tracking. The position demands a strong focus on safety, cleanliness, and teamwork, supporting initiatives to minimize product loss and prevent workplace accidents. The associate is also responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of assigned work areas, ensuring that warehouse locations are accurate and orderly, and reporting any unsafe conditions or equipment issues promptly to supervisors. This role does not involve supervisory responsibilities but is critical to smooth warehouse operations that impact overall business performance. The candidate must be comfortable working varied shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays, to meet the fluctuating demands of the warehouse environment.
