Job Requirements

  • Responsible Alcohol Awareness Training certification or equivalent
  • Working knowledge of local and regional markets
  • Proficiency with computers including Windows environment, spreadsheets, databases, and word processing
  • Ability to delegate, follow up, and relate to staff and clients effectively
  • Tolerance of all cultures, music, and art forms
  • Ability to maintain accurate financial records and event documentation
  • Strong organizational and communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma required
  • Three to five years sales experience in the hospitality industry
  • Experience in catering sales, social and wedding markets highly preferred
  • Skilled in interpersonal communications and organizational concepts
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, and guest relations
  • Proficient in use of Caterease, Cendyn, Exact Target, Rome, Hoovers
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Local market experience and relationships

Job Duties

  • Meet and exceed individual sales goals
  • Consistently fulfill sales call quotas and required tracking protocol
  • Handle initial phone call and electronic inquiries within 24 hours
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive client databases
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with community and professional organizations
  • Generate proposals, special event orders, and contracts
  • Attend tradeshows, networking events, and off-site sales efforts as directed
