Job Requirements
- Responsible Alcohol Awareness Training certification or equivalent
- Working knowledge of local and regional markets
- Proficiency with computers including Windows environment, spreadsheets, databases, and word processing
- Ability to delegate, follow up, and relate to staff and clients effectively
- Tolerance of all cultures, music, and art forms
- Ability to maintain accurate financial records and event documentation
- Strong organizational and communication skills
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma required
- Three to five years sales experience in the hospitality industry
- Experience in catering sales, social and wedding markets highly preferred
- Skilled in interpersonal communications and organizational concepts
- Comprehensive knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, and guest relations
- Proficient in use of Caterease, Cendyn, Exact Target, Rome, Hoovers
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Local market experience and relationships
Job Duties
- Meet and exceed individual sales goals
- Consistently fulfill sales call quotas and required tracking protocol
- Handle initial phone call and electronic inquiries within 24 hours
- Develop and maintain comprehensive client databases
- Build and maintain positive relationships with community and professional organizations
- Generate proposals, special event orders, and contracts
- Attend tradeshows, networking events, and off-site sales efforts as directed
