The Senior Operations Manager role at Live Nation Entertainment is a crucial leadership position responsible for overseeing the comprehensive operations at two vibrant venues: the Hollywood Palladium and Peppermint Club. This is an exempt position reporting directly to the Assistant General Manager. The individual in this role will oversee the entire facility operations and physical plant management, ensuring the seamless execution of event operations while maintaining superior guest experiences. The Senior Operations Manager leads a broad operations team, including the Operations Manager, and administers multiple departments such as Parking, Merchandise, Guest Experience (VIP/Ambassador programs), Scheduling/Payroll, and Onboarding.
Key responsibilities include ownership of operational budgeting, including repairs, maintenance, and venue supply expenses, while partnering with the Assistant General Manager on annual budget planning and financial performance. This role leads vendor management, contract oversight, and third-party coordination, ensuring operational excellence. The position demands the management of high-level incident investigations and formal proceedings if necessary, as well as payroll approval and labor oversight across departments. Building and nurturing important municipal and external relationships—including police, fire, and city officials—is essential to maintaining compliance and fostering community engagement.
The Senior Operations Manager drives recruiting strategies, workforce planning, and training programs, emphasizing operational safety standards and delivering an outstanding guest experience on a large scale. This role requires a proven senior leader with strong management, organizational, and communication skills. Candidates should have extensive knowledge of venue operations, facility management, and large-scale event coordination, with a minimum of two years in a comparable senior operations role. Experience managing multiple departments and large teams such as Security, Ticket Takers, Ushers, Guest Experience, Parking, and Merchandising is vital.
This position also involves active collaboration with public officials and local authorities, representing the company and facility in community, municipal, and political matters alongside the General Manager. A background in operational budgeting, financial oversight, and vendor/contractor management is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is expected, with experience in Workday or similar timekeeping systems considered a plus. Excellent oral and written communication skills are necessary to lead cross-department initiatives effectively.
Compensation for this role ranges from $71,000 to $89,000 USD annually, with pay based on factors including market location, qualifications, skills, and experience. Live Nation prides itself on its commitment to equal employment opportunities and offers an enriching work environment geared toward personal and professional growth.
