In this leadership role, you will be deeply involved in recruitment, training, development, and management of team members to ensure operational excellence and outstanding guest experiences in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. The role demands someone passionate and motivated, equipped with an entrepreneurial spirit and committed to fostering a positive work culture. You will manage team recruitment and hiring, conduct performance appraisals, and lead developmental plans and disciplinary sessions following company guidelines. Upholding Workplace Standards and ensuring open communication across all levels of staff will be integral to your responsibilities. Beyond team oversight, you will be charged with maintaining the aesthetic and environment consistent with House of Blues standards, facilitating guest services and special event execution, and driving revenue enhancements through creative programming and cost control alongside the General Manager and Assistant General Manager. The position requires adeptness in handling complex operational challenges with professionalism, creativity, and composure, always prioritizing respect and integrity. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma required
  • 3-5 years of high volume experience in fine dining, restaurant, club operations, promotions or programming
  • 2 or more years of supervisory or management experience
  • Responsible Alcohol Awareness Training Certification or equivalent
  • T.I.P.S. certification or equivalent
  • proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • knowledge of POS systems
  • guest relations and customer service knowledge
  • basic accounting and P&L statements
  • physical ability to stand for long periods
  • ability to lift or move up to 25 lbs
  • work in a fast-paced, loud, and stressful environment.

Job Qualifications

  • Responsible Alcohol Awareness Training Certification or equivalent
  • 3-5 years high volume experience in fine dining, restaurant, club operations, promotions or programming
  • 2 or more years of operations supervisory or management experience
  • T.I.P.S. certified or equivalent
  • guest relations and customer service skills
  • wine and liquor knowledge
  • proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • knowledge of general point of sale systems
  • basic accounting and P&L statement understanding
  • training in purchasing, receiving and inventory
  • high school diploma required
  • college degree preferred.

Job Duties

  • Recruit and interview manager and supervisor candidates
  • recruit, hire and train hourly, non-exempt TeamMembers
  • conduct annual performance appraisals of TeamMembers
  • provide concise information for manager appraisals
  • develop action plans for TeamMembers when required
  • conduct disciplinary sessions according to guidelines
  • ensure conflict resolution procedures are followed
  • ensure compliance with workplace standards
  • maintain open communication policy
  • assist and support TeamMembers in their job functions as needed
  • maintain environment and aesthetic to company standards
  • oversee guest fulfillment and requests
  • maintain all company standards
  • oversee revenue center programming and late-night activities
  • execute special events with logistics and sales managers
  • generate and enhance revenue to meet budget expectations
  • maintain effective cost control systems
  • assist GM and AGM in annual budget and quarterly planning
  • implement approved budgets
  • create and implement quarterly operating plans (QOPs).
