Job Description
Live Nation Entertainment is a global leader in live entertainment, encompassing major entities such as Ticketmaster, Live Nation Concerts, and Live Nation Media & Sponsorship. With Ticketmaster being the foremost company in event ticketing, it boasts over 620 million tickets sold annually and serves approximately 10,000 clients worldwide. Live Nation Concerts stands as the largest live entertainment provider, organizing more than 50,000 events each year featuring nearly 7,000 artists across over 40 countries. Complementing these services, Live Nation Media & Sponsorship develops strategic music marketing campaigns, connecting over 1,200 sponsors with the 145 million fans attending Live Nation's events annually. The company’s reputation is built on its commitment to delivering exceptional experiences to fans, artists, and partners alike.
Live Nation Entertainment is seeking a Production Manager to join their dynamic team, primarily responsible for overseeing the on-stage, backstage, financial, and technical aspects of concerts and events held at Live Nation-operated venues. This position demands a highly organized and motivated individual with a passion for live events and a commitment to excellence. Compensation for this role ranges from $76,000 to $95,000 annually, with pay determined by factors such as market location, qualifications, skills, and experience.
The Production Manager acts as the vital link between touring artists or client productions and the venue's operational teams. Responsibilities include coordinating technical requirements, managing vendor relationships, ensuring smooth day-of-show operations, and handling show settlements and accounting. This role requires a meticulous approach to budgeting and labor cost tracking while ensuring strict adherence to company policies and customer service standards, particularly focusing on artist and client satisfaction.
Live Nation values those who demonstrate an entrepreneurial spirit, resourcefulness, and an innovative mindset. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, balancing multiple tasks efficiently. Essential technical knowledge spans areas such as audio, lighting, video, electrical work, and staging. Candidates should be comfortable working long hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, adapting flexibly to fluctuating schedules.
Beyond technical expertise, the Production Manager must exhibit strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. The role involves coordinating local contractors, security, casual labor, and various vendors to ensure quality, cost-efficiency, and timely delivery of services. Additionally, this position entails training and onboarding production staff to maintain high standards and operational readiness.
Physically, the job entails working in loud, fast-paced environments with extended periods spent on feet, including lifting and moving equipment up to 75 pounds. The ability to work well under stress and make decisive, clear choices — sometimes with limited information — is critical. A professional demeanor and reliable references are also required.
Live Nation offers a comprehensive benefits package emphasizing health, personal wellness, financial security, family support, career growth, and community involvement. Benefits include medical, vision, dental, and mental health coverage; paid time off including holidays, sick leave, and personal days; a 401(k) plan with company match; programs supporting new parents and families; tuition reimbursement and career development opportunities; plus volunteer time off and crowdfunding match programs.
Live Nation is committed to equal employment opportunity and fosters an inclusive workplace where everyone can thrive and contribute their best. The company also provides reasonable accommodations for applicants with disabilities and promotes a supportive environment aligned with the diverse communities it serves. Candidates can expect a rewarding opportunity to develop their expertise and be part of a highly respected leader in the global live entertainment industry.
