Job Description
Live Nation Entertainment stands as the world’s premier live entertainment company, bringing together a powerhouse of global market leaders including Ticketmaster, Live Nation Concerts, and Live Nation Media & Sponsorship. Ticketmaster is recognized as the global leader in event ticketing, selling over 620 million tickets annually and serving approximately 10,000 clients worldwide. Live Nation Concerts is the largest provider of live entertainment globally, promoting more than 50,000 events each year for nearly 7,000 artists across 40 plus countries. Together, these business units enable Live Nation Media & Sponsorship to craft strategic music marketing programs that connect more than 1,200 sponsors with the 145 million fans attending Live Nation events annually. This dynamic structure defines Live Nation Entertainment’s commitment to providing exceptional live experiences across the globe, driven by innovation, scale, and a passion for entertainment.
The role of Production Manager at Live Nation Entertainment is integral to ensuring the seamless execution of concerts and events held at Live Nation-operated venues. This is a highly demanding, hands-on position requiring meticulous attention to on-stage, backstage, technical, and operational details. The Production Manager acts as the critical liaison between touring clients, production teams, and local venue contractors, ensuring that every aspect of an event runs smoothly from initial coordination through show settlement and post-event analysis. Responsibilities include advancing technical requirements such as staging, audio, lighting, and capacity considerations in collaboration with clients and tour personnel. Additionally, the Production Manager oversees vendor engagements, labor management, security, and equipment rentals with a focus on quality, reliability, and cost containment.
Day-of-show management is another essential function, where the Production Manager supervises the entire production process from load-in to load-out. Providing excellent customer service to artists and clients while adhering to strict schedules, sound restrictions, and budget constraints is paramount. Beyond event execution, the role involves financial duties like managing show accounting, vendor payments, and labor cost tracking to maintain efficient budget management. Safety is a priority, requiring coordination of third-party subcontractors to ensure safe and successful events. The Production Manager also plays a pivotal role in onboarding and training production staff, fostering a skilled and ready team that upholds Live Nation’s industry-leading standards. This role is a unique blend of leadership, technical proficiency, organizational skills, and a dedicated work ethic designed to thrive in a fast-paced, often high-pressure environment that epitomizes the live event industry. Candidates passionate about live entertainment and motivated by a hands-on role that drives the success of every concert and event would find an exciting and rewarding career with Live Nation Entertainment as a Production Manager.
