The Director of Operations at Brooklyn Bowl plays a critical leadership role working directly under the General Manager. This position holds comprehensive oversight of all operational facets of the venue, including front of house and back of house functions. The Director of Operations is responsible for managing a team of managers across various departments such as the Bar Manager, Retail Manager, Music Operations, and Restaurant Manager, ensuring flawless coordination and execution of daily and special event operations. This role demands a strategic thinker with hands-on management capabilities who can oversee restaurant, bar, venue, and bowling operations while maintaining operational excellence and upholding the venue’s artistic mission.
In this role, the Director of Operations will collaborate closely with senior leadership including human resources, sales and marketing, and financial administration to drive budgets, manage expenditures, and support growth initiatives. They will also spearhead planning and execution of marketing, fundraising, audience development, and public relations efforts alongside Sales and Marketing teams. The ability to effectively manage P&L, point of sale systems, scheduling, and inventory control is essential. Additionally, this role requires the implementation and enforcement of standard operating procedures, emergency evacuation plans, and HR policies to ensure the safety and well-being of both staff and guests.
The position demands someone who can be the "eyes and ears" of Brooklyn Bowl on the ground, adapting to fast-paced and changing conditions while inspiring and leading a diverse team. - 8+ years of experience in operations in an F&B or venue operations setting
- Strong leadership skills

Job Duties
- Oversee restaurant, bar, venue and bowling operations
- Assist with overseeing all administrative and operational aspects of the organization
- Work closely with the General Manager, all venue Managers, Human Resources, and Administrator, to support the artistic vision and mission of Brooklyn Bowl
- Assist in planning and monitoring budget, track income and spending
- Work with Sales and Marketing to develop and carry out marketing, fundraising, audience development, and public relations initiatives and strategies
- Coordinate special events
- Scheduling, ordering, and all operational approvals
- Manage P&L
- Point of sale system maintenance
- Prepare monthly meetings for upper and lower level management
- Implement standard operating plans, emergency evacuation plans and HR policies for staff and clients
