Successful candidates will be adept at managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously including greeting guests warmly, processing orders accurately, handling cash transactions, maintaining inventory and cleanliness, and addressing guest concerns tactfully and effectively. An essential part of the role involves daily setup and upkeep of the coffee bar area, ensuring the workspace is stocked, organized, and compliant with health standards. Those hired will report to culinary, stewarding, and restaurant managers, working collaboratively to meet the organization’s standards of service and operational excellence. The role also calls for attending mandatory meetings and adhering strictly to company policies relating to guest and associate interactions as well as safety protocols.

Candidates are expected to be physically capable of performing tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for extended periods, and executing manual tasks like scooping ice, mixing drinks, and operating equipment. The company prefers individuals with a high school diploma or equivalent and prior guest relations or food service experience. Certifications in Food Service Sanitation are required, with CPR and First Aid certification regarded as advantageous. Job Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred
  • guest relations or service experience preferred
  • Food Service Sanitation certification required
  • CPR or First Aid certification preferred
  • ability to lift up to 50 pounds and frequently lift or carry up to 25 pounds
  • ability to stand and walk extensively
  • ability to reach, handle, feel, talk, hear and see

  • eligible to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service
  • basic mathematical skills to operate cash register, make change, total checks, prepare cash drops and understand portion sizes
  • basic English writing skills for requisitions, balance sheets and vouchers
  • manual dexterity to use knives, pick up glassware and bottles, scoop ice, mix drinks and retrieve stock overhead
  • ability to read, speak and understand English for communication with guests and taking orders
  • ability to remember, recite and promote menu items
  • ability to operate keyboard and point of sale system to pre-check and close out orders
  • ability to work and stand for extended periods in confined spaces

Job Duties

  • Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner, promote and document orders
  • make and present drinks using standard recipes and practice prudent portion control
  • input orders into register and create checks for guests maintaining accountability for beverages served
  • receive cash, make change, verify charges, record charges and execute vouchers to balance transactions
  • maintain proper and adequate setup of the coffee bar including requisitioning, stocking and rotating products
  • respond to guest complaints positively and tactfully, negotiate compromises and implement solutions
  • lock up and store beverages, food and equipment, deposit cash drops and secure keys
  • attend mandatory meetings
  • perform general cleaning tasks to meet health and safety standards
  • keep work area clean and organized
  • complete other duties assigned by supervisor or manager
  • adhere to company standards related to member, guest and associate experience
  • follow all safety standards
