Visual Sound is currently seeking a full-time Account Manager for their Live and Virtual Events Department at their Broomall location. This key role focuses on generating new business opportunities and expanding the company’s footprint in Audio-Visual Event Production and Staging services. The Account Manager will not only drive new business by securing contracts and nurturing client relationships but will also maintain and grow relationships with existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.

The successful candidate will engage in a variety of strategic sales activities including prospecting for new clients, preparing personalized sales proposals, securing contracts, and maintaining a healthy sales pipeline. They will play a pivotal role in supporting the growth of the Live and Virtual Events Division by acquiring preferred or exclusive contracts with venues such as hotels, special event locations, and educational facilities. This includes participating in site visits, pre-conference planning, and venue meetings to ensure that each event meets client expectations and runs seamlessly.

Additionally, Account Managers are expected to actively represent Visual Sound at industry functions such as trade shows, networking events, and forums, fostering robust industry connections. They are also responsible for thoroughly understanding event cost structures to ensure profitability and compliance with the company’s financial guidelines. Collaboration with senior management is essential during sales and contracting phases to align business goals and strategies that support growth and client satisfaction.

Job Requirements

  • Extensive experience in B2B/B2C sales with an emphasis on the hospitality industry, hotel sales, and Fortune 100/500 businesses
  • Ability to sell live event and virtual/hybrid technology
  • Experience with AV technology is a plus
  • Past experience with prospecting, outside sales, and cold-calling
  • Possess a hunter mentality and ability to open new doors of business
  • Occasional overnight travel may be needed at times

Job Duties

  • Contacting/prospecting and meeting with clients, preparing sales proposals, and securing contracts in the Mid-Atlantic region
  • Supporting the growth of the Division through acquisition of venues via preferred or exclusive contracts and agreements (may include hotels, special event venues and educational facilities)
  • Providing an accurate and timely submittal of sales orders and job notes to appropriate order processing and technical staff
  • Maintaining a healthy pipeline at all times that ensures achievement of established revenue targets
  • Attending site visits, pre-conference planning meetings, and appropriate venue meetings as necessary to support the customer event experience
  • Attending industry functions including tradeshows, networking events and forums
  • Meeting or exceeding all company sales goals and objectives as it relates to this position
  • Understanding event cost structure and incorporate this according to established profitability guidelines
  • Identifying and securing exclusive and preferred status agreements with venues
  • Collaborating with senior management through the sales and contracting phase
