Job Description

C2 Technologies, Inc. is a leading organization specializing in providing advanced mission planning, training, and simulation support services primarily for the United States Air Force. Renowned for its commitment to excellence and innovation, C2 Technologies focuses on enhancing military readiness through cutting-edge technology and expert personnel. As a company deeply embedded in defense contract work, it delivers mission-critical solutions that integrate live, virtual, and constructive training environments, enabling tactical and operational training at the highest levels. C2 Technologies prides itself on fostering a supportive and inclusive work environment that champions diversity and professional growth while contributing significantly to national security initiatives.

The Live-Constructive Planner Subject Matter Expert (SME) position based in Des Moines, Iowa, is a pivotal role within C2 Technologies, designed to lead and optimize the planning, execution, and evaluation phases of Live-Virtual-Constructive (LVC) training operations. These operations underpin Distributed Mission Operations (DMO) events, which represent a sophisticated amalgamation of training environments where live activities are integrated with virtual simulations and constructive elements to simulate combat and operational scenarios realistically. This full-time position offers a salary range of $110,000 to $140,000 annually, reflecting factors such as experience, skill set, and contract specifics.

The SME will operate under the supervision of the Training Manager and DTOC leadership, ensuring that mission objectives are met with a high degree of precision and professionalism. This role requires the candidate to lead all aspects of LVC mission planning and execution, including the integration of virtual simulators to enhance live training scenarios' realism and effectiveness. Key tasks involve mission testing, network integration oversight, and direct event leadership during mission briefings and debriefings. Additionally, the SME supports the DTOC mission planning cell by creating training scenarios, coordinating with network and mission operation centers, troubleshooting technical issues, and preparing mission planning packages according to stringent performance standards.

This role demands a deep familiarity with Modeling & Simulation (M&S) technologies, joint warfare publications, and Air Force tactics, techniques, and procedures (AFTTP 3-1). It requires current or recently maintained experience as a mission commander or section lead and hands-on operational knowledge within a Distributed Mission Operations environment. The position is critical to advising leadership on the implementation of LVC events, test protocols, and the integration of emerging training technologies. Candidates must demonstrate exceptional coordination skills across multiple teams and units, contributing to mission success and advancing the Air Force's training capabilities.

C2 Technologies also emphasizes continuous professional development and innovation, encouraging the SME to contribute to doctrine updates, lead evaluation teams, and mentor fellow instructors. The company maintains a strong commitment to employee well-being, offering a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement planning with company match, paid leave, and additional supplemental insurance coverages. Candidates are expected to maintain a DoD Secret clearance throughout employment and meet physical requirements necessary to perform the job effectively. Overall, this career opportunity represents a chance to engage with cutting-edge military training technology in a role that directly impacts national defense readiness and operational excellence.
