Job Description

Rocket Farm Restaurants is a vibrant hospitality group known for its dedication to serving both guests and team members with dignity, respect, and care. Rooted deeply in the philosophy that "We serve the person who is serving the guest," Rocket Farm Restaurants fosters a supportive and ethical work environment. This culture transcends beyond the dining room and extends into every aspect of the kitchen and restaurant operations, ensuring that every team member receives the support and encouragement they need to excel. The company operates multiple establishments, each with its distinct charm but unified by a common commitment to quality food, exceptional service, and team empowerment. One of their notable concepts inspired by Northern Mexican cuisine is Little Rey, the younger sister restaurant of Superica, known for its vibrant, super-casual atmosphere centered around wood-roasted "chicken al carbon." It promises a flavorful and authentic dining experience, embodying the warmth and bold flavors of Mexican culinary traditions.

Little Rey is currently seeking an experienced Lead Cook who will take a pivotal role in overseeing the culinary team and driving the kitchen towards excellence. This full-time, hourly position offers competitive pay ranging from $10 to $14 per hour, plus tips, depending on experience and availability. The Lead Cook will not only train and inspire the culinary team but also ensure consistent, high-quality food production that meets the brand's standards. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of progressive culinary experience in a high-volume restaurant setting, coupled with solid leadership skills and a passion for teamwork and culinary excellence. The role mandates flexibility in work hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, reflecting the dynamic nature of restaurant operations.

The Lead Cook’s responsibilities center around supporting management with executing successful services while maintaining impeccable organization, sanitation, and food safety standards. This position offers a unique opportunity to lead by example, elevate kitchen operations, and contribute to a culture that treats every team member with care and respect. Being part of Rocket Farm Restaurants means working in an environment that values growth and development, as evidenced by their Rocket Farm University, which provides specialized leadership classes and personalized support focused on career advancement.

Additional perks of working at Little Rey and the larger Rocket Farm family include dynamic performance-based raises and promotions, time off on major holidays such as Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day, and dining discounts across all Rocket Farm Restaurant locations in cities such as Atlanta, Charlotte, Nashville, Houston, Raleigh, and Winter Park. Beyond the initial benefits, after one year of employment, employees become eligible for paid time off, childbirth recovery leave, parental leave, major medical insurance, dental and vision coverage, and life insurance, all designed to support a healthy work-life balance.

Joining Little Rey as a Lead Cook means becoming part of a team that values high standards, fosters a collaborative culture, and is committed to providing guests a memorable dining experience. If you are passionate about leading culinary teams, inspiring others, and upholding rigorous food quality and safety standards, this role offers an excellent platform to advance your career in the restaurant industry within a company known for its ethical practices and employee-focused culture.
