Job Description

Rocket Farm Restaurants is a renowned and dynamic hospitality group known for its dedication to fostering a respectful and supportive work culture. Founded on the philosophy "We serve the person who is serving the guest," Rocket Farm Restaurants believe that the essence of great service starts internally among team members. Their approach nurtures dignity, respect, and care within the kitchen and throughout all levels of restaurant operations, ensuring that every employee feels valued. With multiple restaurant concepts across several cities including Atlanta, Charlotte, Nashville, Houston, Raleigh, and Winter Park, Rocket Farm has built a reputation as an innovative and heartfelt employer within the restaurant industry.

One of their popular establishments, Little Rey, located in Piedmont Heights, offers guests a vibrant and super-casual atmosphere inspired by Northern Mexican cuisine. At the heart of Little Rey's menu is the wood-roasted "chicken al carbon," delivering bold and authentic flavors that complement the overall dining experience. Little Rey operates as the younger sister to the famed Superica restaurant, bringing a fresh yet familiar experience to food lovers.

Little Rey is currently seeking a detail-oriented Executive Sous Chef to join their culinary leadership team. This position is integral to the seamless daily operation of the kitchen and requires overseeing all production and prep activities, stewarding, purchasing, receiving, as well as managing private parties and special events. The Executive Sous Chef plays a critical role in maintaining the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and service in the absence of the Executive Chef. This role demands strong leadership and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work efficiently under pressure while guiding a cohesive, motivated culinary team.

The ideal candidate will have at least five years of progressive culinary experience, including a minimum of two years in a Sous Chef role. They will be adept at managing culinary budgets, monitoring labor and scheduling, and controlling overtime to maximize productivity and guest satisfaction. Attention to detail and an ability to inspire a team while fostering a culture based on ethical work environments and mutual respect are essential.

Rocket Farm Restaurants offer a competitive salary range of $70,000 to $85,000 per year depending on experience, coupled with a generous quarterly bonus program. Full benefit eligibility is granted after 30 days and includes major medical, dental, vision, and life insurance coverage. Additionally, team members enjoy paid time off, childbirth recovery and parental leave, long-term retention bonuses, holiday time off, and significant dining discounts across all Rocket Farm locations. Leadership development is a key company focus, offering Rocket Farm University with specialized classes, mentorship opportunities, and an advisory council to support ongoing career advancement.

Joining Rocket Farm Restaurants and Little Rey offers an incredible opportunity to be part of a passionate, innovative, and supportive environment. Employees are not only part of a company that values their contribution but also part of a family that prioritizes respect, work-life balance, and professional growth. If you are an Executive Sous Chef seeking a rewarding position in a culinary-driven and culturally rich atmosphere, Little Rey invites you to apply and become a valued team member of a truly unique restaurant group.
