Job Description

Rocket Farm Restaurants is a renowned group recognized for its exemplary hospitality culture defined by the philosophy, "We serve the person who is serving the guest." This ethos is deeply embedded not only on the restaurant floor but throughout the entire team, fostering a culture built on dignity, respect, and care among team members. Rocket Farm Restaurants operates multiple vibrant dining establishments, including the beloved Little Rey. Inspired by Northern Mexican cuisine, Little Rey offers a casual yet lively setting where its signature wood-roasted chicken al carbon brings a unique dining experience to multiple cities including Atlanta, Houston, Nashville, and Raleigh. This restaurant group is dedicated to operational excellence and exceptional guest experiences, and prides itself on creating a collaborative and educational kitchen environment that empowers culinary professionals to thrive.

The role available is for experienced Executive Chefs and Executive Sous Chefs at Little Rey. Successful candidates will need to relocate if they do not currently live in the markets of Atlanta, Houston, Nashville, or Raleigh. The Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef positions are designed for passionate culinary leaders who excel in fast-paced kitchens and have a drive to develop exceptional teams. These leaders are responsible for overseeing the day-to-day kitchen operations including food production, preparation, purchasing, receiving, catering, scheduling, labor management, maintaining food quality, and executing recipes consistently. A core function includes leading by example, coaching future culinary talent, and maintaining the highest standards in food quality and consistency. The environment at Little Rey emphasizes teamwork and operational excellence, creating a space where culinary leaders develop, implement, and refine kitchen processes in alignment with the company’s hospitality-driven values.

Compensation is competitive, with Executive Chefs earning between $85,000 and $120,000 annually depending on experience, along with a generous quarterly bonus program. Executive Sous Chefs can expect salaries ranging from $70,000 to $85,000 annually plus quarterly bonuses. Employees become eligible for full benefits after only 30 days, including major medical, dental, vision, and life insurance coverage. The benefits package is comprehensive, supporting both professional growth and personal well-being. Additionally, team members enjoy a supportive work environment grounded in ethics and camaraderie, performance-based raises and promotions, paid time off, childbirth recovery leave, and parental leave. Long-term retention bonuses incentivize loyalty, while holidays such as Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day are typically off. Employees also receive a 50% dining discount across all Rocket Farm Restaurants located in several major cities. Leadership development programs through Rocket Farm University, mentorship opportunities, advisory council involvement, and a safety committee enrich the career growth and engagement prospects for culinary professionals at the organization.

By joining Little Rey and Rocket Farm Restaurants, Executive Chefs and Executive Sous Chefs become part of a dynamic and innovative company that values every member as fiercely as it values the guests they serve. This is an excellent opportunity for culinary leaders ready to lead high-performing teams, shape exceptional dining experiences, and grow their careers within one of the most respected restaurant groups in the country. The company is committed to equal opportunity employment and complying fully with federal employment laws, ensuring a fair and inclusive process for all applicants.
