Job Description
Rocket Farm Restaurants is a renowned and respected group of dining establishments known for their commitment to high-quality food and exceptional guest experiences. At the heart of their operational philosophy is a unique culture that values and respects every team member, adhering to the principle, "We serve the person who is serving the guest." This ethos fosters a supportive and ethical work environment where dignity, respect, and care extend beyond just guest interactions to how team members treat one another in the kitchen and throughout the workplace. This culture is not merely a slogan but a foundational practice that ensures a positive work atmosphere and motivates each employee to deliver their best every day. Rocket Farm Restaurants operates multiple locations across cities like Atlanta, Charlotte, Nashville, Houston, Raleigh, and Winter Park, offering employees a broad network of opportunities and a dynamic workplace setting.
One of the highlights within the Rocket Farm Restaurants family is Little Rey, a vibrant and super-casual dining concept inspired by Northern Mexican cuisine. Little Rey, the younger sister of the acclaimed Superica, centers its menu around wood-roasted 'chicken al carbon,' delivering authentic and flavorful dishes in a lively atmosphere that is perfect for casual dining. The restaurant is currently seeking a dedicated and responsible Cook who is hungry for growth and opportunity. This role is central to the kitchen's success, requiring mastery of culinary techniques and precision in food preparation to consistently produce dishes that meet the high standards of the brand.
The Cook at Little Rey will be entrusted with executing recipes exactly as designed, ensuring that each plate sent to guests maintains the integrity of the flavors and presentation that customers expect and love. This position requires someone who can thrive in a fast-paced and exciting environment, maintaining seamless kitchen operations and a clean workspace. Additionally, teamwork and the ability to follow directions from management are crucial for success in this role, as the Cook collaborates closely with other kitchen staff and front-of-house employees to create an outstanding dining experience from start to finish.
Compensation for the Little Rey Cook position is competitive, with pay rates reaching up to $18 per hour, based on experience and demonstrated skills. Beyond the base pay, Rocket Farm Restaurants offers a comprehensive benefits package that enhances work-life balance and career development. Employees enjoy a supportive culture with performance-based raises and promotions, time off on most major holidays including Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day, and dining discounts across all company locations. Rocket Farm University provides specialized leadership classes and personalized career advancement support, while employee-led mentorship programs and committees foster an inclusive environment for professional growth.
After one year of employment, additional benefits become available such as paid time off, parental leave options, and major medical, dental, vision, and life insurance coverage. As an Equal Opportunity Employer, Rocket Farm Restaurants is committed to maintaining fair employment practices in accordance with federal laws and regulations. Prospective candidates are encouraged to join this dynamic and heartfelt team that prioritizes both exceptional guest service and a nurturing workplace culture, where every individual’s role is valued and celebrated.
