The Liquid Server position is an exciting and essential role responsible for delivering an outstanding customer service experience on the casino floor. This position is designed for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, interactive, and high-energy setting. The Liquid Server is the first point of contact with guests in beverage service areas, tasked with greeting guests warmly, taking beverage orders, serving drinks and snacks promptly, and ensuring guest satisfaction throughout their visit. This role demands a thorough understanding of alcoholic beverages, excellent communication skills, and the ability to maintain composure and professionalism while managing multiple tasks. The Liquid Server enhances guest experiences by creating a fun and welcoming environment, adeptly handling requests, and showcasing an understanding of wine pairings and daily specials. Teamwork is critical as this position involves collaborating with other servers and supervisors to resolve guest questions and maintain clean, organized workstations. The role involves using a POS system efficiently, handling cash transactions accurately, and performing side work to sustain operational readiness. The successful candidate will be capable of supporting other servers as needed and will be expected to complete training and follow company policies diligently. Job Requirements
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Tribal Work Permit
- Washington State Food Handlers Permit - must obtain with 14 days of start date
- Hepatitis A vaccination
- Mandatory Alcohol Server Training (MAST) certification - must obtain within 60 days of start date
- available and willing to work nights, weekends and holidays as required
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- experience working as a waiter or waitress preferred
- excellent customer relations and customer service skills
- ability to handle cash and give proper change
- skill in identifying and resolving problems under pressure conditions
- ability to learn and operate the POS system
Job Duties
- Use the POS system as trained
- greet guests in a friendly manner, take their beverage and food orders, serve the orders, clear all dishes and glassware from their table and present the guest check
- collect payment from the guest and provide change when necessary
- provide constant, attentive, and friendly service to all guests
- educate the guests about the daily specials and answer any questions they may have
- be knowledgeable about wine and be prepared to answer guest questions about wine pairing
- communicate with your supervisor to resolve any guest questions in a timely manner
