Job Description
Culinary Cultivations is Grand Rapids' premier food service industry staffing company, known for connecting skilled culinary professionals with a variety of clients across the region. With a focus on flexibility and opportunity, Culinary Cultivations prides itself on providing experienced Line Cooks, Prep Cooks, and Kitchen Leads the chance to work on their own schedules while engaging with diverse culinary environments. Founded on core values such as kindness, communication, trust, diversity, and inclusion, the company fosters a supportive team atmosphere where professionals can thrive and grow their careers without the constraints of traditional employment. This dynamic staffing service caters to a broad range of venues including colleges and universities, hotel dining and events, assisted living facilities, private events, and catering clients, ensuring that every team member can find work that matches their experience and preferences.
The role offered by Culinary Cultivations is designed for culinary professionals who seek the freedom to craft their own schedules while earning competitive pay. As independent contractors, team members choose shifts based on their availability and the needs of Culinary Cultivations' diverse client base. Compensation for Line Cooks starts at $20 per hour and can increase based on client requirements and specific work locations, making this an attractive opportunity both financially and professionally. This position suits individuals seeking full-time, part-time, temporary, or contract work without the long-term commitments typically associated with such roles.
In addition to monetary benefits, Culinary Cultivations provides a supportive onboarding process that involves a one-time orientation, eliminating lengthy training periods so cooks can start working and earning quickly. The role supports a range of shifts including day and night work, with weekend availability often required, catering to professionals who value flexibility and autonomy. Working with Culinary Cultivations means being part of a respected team in Grand Rapids' food service scene, gaining exposure to a variety of culinary settings from event catering to healthcare food service, all while working in an environment that values reliability, adaptability, independence, and resilience under pressure. This opportunity is especially suited to those with prior experience in food and beverage, full-service restaurants, event or catering kitchens, or assisted living facilities, aiming to leverage their skills in a flexible, rewarding work environment.
