Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • valid food handler's permit or certification
  • minimum of 2 years relevant cooking experience
  • flexibility to work day and night shifts including weekends
  • reliable transportation
  • ability to stand for long periods
  • strong attention to detail and quality
  • ability to work under high stress

Job Qualifications

  • minimum of 2 years experience in food and beverage industry
  • experience in event or catering cooking preferred
  • experience in full-service restaurant cooking preferred
  • preferred experience in assisted living or health care food service
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Duties

  • prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of work stations
  • assist in food prep and ingredient preparation
  • follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service
  • manage inventory and stock supplies as needed
  • support the kitchen lead in daily operations
