As a Linen Runner, the employee will undertake a variety of duties that facilitate the smooth functioning of day-to-day hotel operations. These responsibilities include maintaining the cleanliness of elevator landings, hallways, linen closets, and service areas, as well as collecting and transporting dirty glassware for cleaning and promptly restocking clean glassware. Attention to detail and proactive communication with supervisors about maintenance or room issues are critical for this role. Linen Runners assist with guest room preparation, such as stripping check-out rooms and restocking supplies like linen and toiletries on each floor. Additionally, they provide guest service by responding courteously to inquiries and requests, thereby enhancing the overall guest experience.

The role demands physical stamina as it involves standing, walking, and carrying loads up to 75 pounds.
