The Line/Grill Cook role at Cotton Patch Cafe is a critical position within the kitchen team, responsible for executing grill and fryer station duties that maintain the high standards set by the restaurant. Working as a Line/Grill Cook means cooking proteins to perfect temperature and specifications, following all food safety and sanitation guidelines, and collaborating seamlessly with both front-of-house and kitchen colleagues to ensure consistent and quality culinary output.
In addition to grilling and frying responsibilities, the role requires set up, maintenance, and breakdown of the cooking station for every shift. The Line/Grill Cook will also assist with prep work and cover other stations when necessary, contributing to a smooth and efficient kitchen operation. Job Requirements
- 2+ years of line/grill cook experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- Proven grill/fryer station experience
- confidence cooking proteins to temperature
- Strong knife skills and working knowledge of line cooking techniques
- Ability to work efficiently and stay composed during high-volume service
- Food handler certification required
- Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs

Job Duties
- Execute all grill and fryer items to temperature and spec
- Set up, maintain, and break down your station for every shift
- Communicate clearly with expo, front-of-house, and kitchen team
- Follow all food safety, temperature, and sanitation standards
- Assist with prep tasks and cross-station coverage as needed
