Job Description
Million Air is a premier fixed-base operator (FBO) renowned for providing exceptional aviation services to private, corporate, and commercial clients. With a commitment to excellence embodied in our motto, 'We are Ladies and Gentlemen, serving Ladies and Gentlemen,' Million Air emphasizes respect, professionalism, and outstanding customer service in every aspect of our operation. We pride ourselves on fostering a team environment that celebrates diversity and individual strengths, ensuring our employees feel valued while contributing to a seamless aviation experience for all customers. Our company culture promotes safety, continuous learning, and operational excellence as we serve discerning clients around the clock in multiple locations across the country.
The Line Service Manager (LSM) role is a critical leadership position within Million Air’s operational framework. This role demands a hands-on leader capable of managing a dedicated line service team that supports smooth and safe aircraft handling on the ramp. The LSM is charged with overseeing all aspects of line service including fueling, aircraft parking, ground support, and daily operational efficiency. The ideal candidate is someone who leads by example, exudes positivity, and prioritizes safety while delivering outstanding customer service. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the LSM collaborates closely with other management team members such as the Customer Service Manager and FBO General Manager. This collaboration is key to maintaining a customer-centric culture and ensuring operational continuity.
In this position, the LSM oversees scheduling, payroll management, and staff development with a strong focus on safety compliance and training. They also champion employee engagement by fostering an environment where open communication, regular training, and safety protocols are prioritized. Day-to-day duties include coordinating ramp activities, supervising fueling operations, managing fuel inventory, and assuring that all regulatory and company policies are strictly followed to prevent aircraft damage and ensure smooth ramp operations. Additionally, the LSM is involved in hiring and maintaining a team that upholds the highest standards of professionalism and customer interaction.
The role is physically demanding and requires working outdoors in all weather conditions, with direct exposure to potentially hazardous environments including noise, chemicals, and aircraft movement. Physical requirements include the ability to lift heavy equipment and perform tasks that involve bending, climbing, and walking. Due to the nature of the job, the position may require evening, weekend, and holiday work, ensuring that the ramp operates effectively 24/7.
This exempt position offers a competitive compensation package based on experience along with comprehensive benefits including a matching 401k program, paid time off, and medical, dental, and vision coverage. Million Air is dedicated to equal opportunity employment and encourages candidates from diverse backgrounds to apply. If you are a motivated individual with a background in line service and a passion for leadership and safety, this role provides an excellent opportunity to grow your career in a reputable and customer-focused aviation company.
