We are currently seeking a skilled BOH Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. This position reports to the Manager on Duty, Culinary Manager, and Corporate Operations/Culinary Leader. Although it does not supervise other employees, the role is critical in executing culinary operations efficiently. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience working in a fast-paced restaurant kitchen environment and a proven track record of culinary excellence and hospitality service. This role involves adhering to recipe guidelines, maintaining kitchen equipment and tools, preparing and cooking food to high standards, managing inventory and prep guidelines, and contributing to special events.
The BOH Line Cook/Prep Cook plays a crucial role in ensuring guests receive delicious meals presented professionally, contributing to overall customer satisfaction. Collaboration with management is essential to meet restaurant objectives related to food quality, guest satisfaction, sales growth, cost management, employee retention, and regulatory compliance. The position requires the ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced atmosphere, demonstrating strong organizational and communication skills.
This full-time position offers a comprehensive compensation package, including sick leave earned according to regulatory mandates, medical insurance with fifty percent company contribution for eligible employees, commuter benefits, free shift meals, maternity and paternity leave, and discounts at all corporate-owned restaurants. The physical demands include prolonged standing, walking, and occasional assistance with food production and service during peak times. Job Requirements
- At least three years experience cooking in a restaurant kitchen preferred
- Food Safety/Food Handler certification required
- Knowledge of OSHA and EEOC regulations
- Ability to successfully perform all job duties of Line Cook/Prep Cook role
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Basic math skills
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings
- Ability to multitask in accordance with business demands
Job Qualifications
- At least three years experience cooking in a restaurant kitchen preferred
- Demonstrated success in culinary excellence and food service hospitality
- Knowledge of OSHA and EEOC regulations and food safety procedures
- Preferred skills using Point of Sale (POS) systems
- Food Safety/Food Handler certification required
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to problem-solve and handle high stress situations
- Basic math skills
- Ability to multitask and work weekends, holidays, and evenings
- Proficiency in English both oral and written
Job Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipe guidelines
