Argonaut Hotel is a luxury boutique hotel situated in the heart of San Francisco's iconic Fisherman's Wharf. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Food handler certification
  • Previous cooking experience preferred
  • Ability to work full-time hours
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to follow safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Job Qualifications

  • Previous cooking experience in a restaurant or high volume full-service kitchen
  • Food handler certification
  • Trained in knife skills and basic kitchen equipment
  • Ability to multi-task under pressure
  • Strong interpersonal skills to establish positive rapport with diverse personalities

Job Duties

  • Manage culinary functions to meet food quality goals
  • Know and comply with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, and kitchen rules
  • Stock and maintain sufficient food levels at line stations
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation and kitchen equipment
  • Provide excellent quality and presentation of all food
  • Produce food in a timely manner while educating servers on the menu
  • Assist in daily cleaning of the pantry, cooking line, prep kitchen, dish area, and refrigeration areas
