The Prep/Line Cook position at Frothy Monkey's East Nashville location is designed for proactive, optimistic individuals who thrive in both team-centric and independent roles. As a Prep/Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing components of the menu with precision, adhering to established recipes and portion sizes to maintain consistent quality. Your organizational skills, ability to multitask, and knife proficiency will play crucial roles in maintaining smooth kitchen operations during busy service hours. Timeliness and reliability, including the ability to report to work consistently with dependable transportation, are essential.
The position entails setting up and restocking kitchen stations, maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards in compliance with health codes and FDA regulations, and supporting dishwashing duties as needed. Working collaboratively with other cooks, you will assist with prep work for various shifts to ensure readiness. Job Duties
- Possess an ability to take direction and get the job done in an efficient manner

- prepare basic components of each dish on our menu using our proven recipes
- memorize and utilize our serving portion size and all basic meal prep procedures used in a kitchen
- ensure that the kitchen, all food prep areas and all food storage areas meet restaurant cleaning standards
- assist with dishwashing duties and maintain dish station cleanliness as needed
- work with team of cooks to do portion prep work for other shifts when needed
- monitor product freshness and rotate out old product based on a schedule created by the restaurant
- love their local community and help engender a spirit of inclusiveness within our walls
- be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time
- must be able to lift and carry 50 plus lbs
