The role of Line Cook/The Dishwasher at Five Iron Golf is pivotal to the smooth operation of the kitchen and overall guest satisfaction. This position involves supporting the team leader in managing all kitchen activities, assisting with both food preparation and kitchen sanitation tasks to maintain a high standard of hygiene and efficiency. The Line Cook/The Dishwasher is responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of appetizers and entrees that uphold the brand’s commitment to delivering flavorful and memorable dining experiences. Additionally, this role requires maintaining cleanliness throughout the kitchen, properly washing and sanitizing pans, utensils, and dishes, and ensuring the dish machine is clean and functioning optimally.
This position is a part-time, non-exempt role that offers an hourly pay range of $19 to $21. The schedule includes working nights and weekends, demonstrating the need for flexibility in hours. The successful candidate will be able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a kitchen team, efficiently dividing responsibilities and monitoring staff when necessary. Physical demands such as the ability to lift up to 50 pounds during normal operations are essential for this role. Job Duties
- Open and close kitchen when needed
- prepare a variety of different appetizers and entrees for guests and ensure food preparation keeps the kitchen and line fully stocked
- wash and sanitize all pans, utensils, and dishes
- clean, sanitize, and maintain dish machine
- scrape, rinse, and load dishes and utensils into dish machine
- unload and organize dishes and utensils properly
- empty trash containers regularly and maintain a clean work area by sweeping and mopping as needed
- perform additional cleaning duties and clean food prep stations and equipment as requested
- control and direct the food preparation process while collaborating with front-of-house staff to ensure excellent service
- deliver a consistently high level of customer service to each guest
