Job Duties

  • work knowledge of broiler, pantry and sauté stations
  • confer with sous chef on menu and food supplies
  • prepare and cook food according to specifications and sanitary standards
  • portion food and deliver to servers
  • prepare cold side items according to menu
  • prepare menu items with high quality and presentation
  • assist in food prep for events
  • clean work area after cooking
  • maintain kitchen cleanliness including storage areas
  • operate equipment safely and sanitarily
  • report food shortages or problems
  • assist in receiving and storing food
  • perform other duties as assigned
  • cook hot side food for banquets
  • breakdown and secure station at end of shift
  • follow recipes and quality standards
  • stock and manage food station
  • inspect food and make requisitions
  • adhere to company policies and standards
  • ensure sufficient food product stock
  • ensure portion control
  • keep work station clean and sanitized
  • maintain proper garnish and plate presentation
  • update servers on ticket times
  • store and rotate food properly
  • help with food prep during off-peak
  • follow kitchen closing procedures
  • carry out manager or executive chef directives
