The available role is for a dedicated Kitchen Staff member who will be responsible for a range of culinary and operational tasks within the resort's kitchen. This position involves preparing a variety of food items using assigned equipment, ensuring adherence to portion sizes, recipe specifications, and quality standards. The role requires consistency in following kitchen policies and procedures, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of the workstation, and proper handling of opening and closing duties along with equipment and inventory management reporting to the Chef. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to work in hot, cold, wet, humid and loud environment for long periods
  • Availability to complete opening and closing checklists
  • Ability to follow daily prep lists and assigned duties
  • Commitment to food safety and cleanliness
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to report equipment and food quality issues promptly

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in food preparation or kitchen assistant role preferred
  • Ability to understand and follow standard recipes and portion control
  • Knowledge of kitchen sanitation and safety standards
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
  • Basic equipment operation skills

Job Duties

  • Complete opening and closing checklists
  • Refer to a daily prep list at start of each shift for assigned duties
  • Prepares a variety of food utilizing equipment assigned, including setup and proper breakdown
  • Understands and complies consistently with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures
  • Portion food products prior to using according to standard portion sizes and recipes specifications
  • Maintains a clean and sanitary workstation area including tables, shelves, walls, and refrigeration equipment
  • Closes kitchen properly and follows the closing checklist
  • Properly reports equipment malfunction and/or food quality to Chef
  • Inform Chef immediately of product shortages
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by Chef
  • Teamwork at all times
