Job Description

Stonebridge is a reputable hospitality company dedicated to providing exceptional service and quality experiences within the hotel industry. Based in Denver, Colorado, Stonebridge has earned a strong reputation for excellence by upholding high standards across its operations and fostering a collaborative environment for its team members. Known for its commitment to employee well-being and professional growth, Stonebridge supports an inclusive workplace where diversity is valued and equal opportunity employment practices are strictly adhered to. The company offers a dynamic and fast-paced work setting that caters to both guests and employees seeking to contribute to a memorable hospitality experience.

The Line Cook position at Stonebridge represents an exciting opportunity to join a passionate culinary team focused on delivering high-quality food that meets rigorous standards for taste, presentation, and safety. This part-time role is specifically designed for professionals who can work weekend shifts, both in the morning (6:30 am to 11:00 am) and evening (4:30 pm to 10:00 pm). Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, the Line Cook plays an essential role in executing breakfast, lunch, dinner, banquet, and room service meals, ensuring consistency and excellence in food preparation.

Starting at $19.50 per hour, this non-exempt position offers flexible scheduling within designated shifts that cater to those seeking weekend employment while balancing other commitments. The successful candidate will be entrusted with preparing all ingredients ahead of service, operating cooking stations efficiently, and rigorously maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards. Attention to detail is crucial as the Line Cook will create various food items, especially focused on pantry items, sandwiches, salads, and desserts, all while managing guest orders in a friendly and timely manner. Moreover, the role requires adherence to both verbal and written instructions issued by the Chef or supervisor, ensuring that all culinary outputs meet the hotel's exact quality expectations.

Stonebridge emphasizes safe food handling, preparation, cooking, and storage techniques throughout all activities. The role is physically demanding, requiring the ability to work in kitchen environments with fluctuating temperatures and exposure to cleaning chemicals. Adaptability to long hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, is vital for maintaining operational fluidity, especially during peak service periods.

Candidates interested in this role must possess, at minimum, an Associate's degree in culinary arts or equivalent experience of six months to one year in related kitchen duties. Proficiency in cooking metrics and recipe adherence is expected, complemented by a Safe Serve/Food Handler’s certification. Exceptional time management and organizational skills are required to ensure efficiency and quality under pressure.

The Line Cook role at Stonebridge is not only a chance to hone culinary skills but to become part of a community that values growth, diversity, and excellence. Stonebridge supports its employees with comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, vision insurance, paid time off, 401(k) matching, wellness programs, life and disability coverage, savings accounts, tuition aid, and travel perks. This robust benefits package underscores the company’s commitment to employee well-being, making it an ideal environment for culinary professionals seeking not just a job but a rewarding career path.
