This role is designed for individuals passionate about food preparation and cooking within an all-day brunch restaurant environment. Ruby Slipper operates uniquely with its "We Do Days" philosophy, focusing exclusively on breakfast and lunch service, allowing team members to work during the day and be home in time for dinner. As a member of the Ruby Krewe, the kitchen team is essential to ensuring that each plate meets Ruby Slipper’s high standards of quality and presentation while maintaining efficiency and consistency in food preparation. The role requires careful attention to recipe adherence, standard portion sizes, and cooking methods that ensure consistent product quality and excellence.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and portioning food accurately prior to cooking, handling final plate preparation including garnishing and plating of hot menu items, as well as maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment. Communication skills are crucial, as coordination between kitchen staff, management, and front-of-house team members is essential for smooth operations. This position requires standing for extended periods and physical capability to perform tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds and bending or stooping as needed.
