Its diverse venues include some of the most prestigious and high-profile locations such as sports stadiums, entertainment complexes, national parks, airports, and premier regional casinos. Serving over half a billion guests annually, the company employs more than 60,000 associates across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, and Asia. Delaware North prides itself on delivering exceptional guest experiences through a commitment to quality, innovation, and teamwork.
Within this impressive global enterprise, Delaware North’s Patina Group is currently seeking a full-time Line Cook to join its dynamic team at Via Napoli, an Italian restaurant located in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. Via Napoli invites culinary professionals to be part of an esteemed restaurant known for its authentic Italian cuisine and vibrant dining atmosphere. This role is ideal for cooks who thrive in fast-paced environments and have a passion for preparing dishes that adhere strictly to recipes and chefs’ specifications.
The Line Cook position offers a competitive wage ranging from $21.45 to $25.20 per hour, reflecting the importance Delaware North places on skilled culinary talent. Beyond competitive pay, this role provides comprehensive benefits and professional development opportunities designed to support personal and career growth. The selected candidate will work closely with a supportive team, contributing to an environment where each member is valued and empowered to deliver memorable dining experiences.
Key responsibilities for this position include accurately measuring, portioning, and cooking food items promptly while maintaining strict food safety standards including correct temperatures and safe storage practices. The Line Cook will engage in essential opening, closing, and side work duties following proper operational guidelines. Maintaining a clean, organized, and well-stocked workstation and equipment is a critical aspect of daily responsibilities, as well as adhering to waste control measures and documenting waste on spoilage sheets.
Ideal candidates bring at least one year of experience as a prep cook or line cook, showcasing the ability to prioritize and complete food orders with both speed and precision. Strong adherence to procedures and effective communication skills are necessary to follow directions and collaborate efficiently within the kitchen team. Basic math skills are also required to accurately follow recipe measurements and proportions. The ability to carry heavy pans up to 50 pounds and operate kitchen equipment is essential, alongside the capacity to engage in continuous standing, walking, bending, reaching, and repetitive motions in varying temperature conditions. The work schedule includes holidays, weekends, and the potential for overtime, with shifts primarily during the day and evenings.
Delaware North emphasizes a culture of growth, inclusivity, and respect. Employees are considered part of a global legacy, with opportunities for training, development, and movement within an organization renowned for its excellence in hospitality. Joining Delaware North’s Patina Group as a Line Cook offers a unique chance to advance a culinary career at a company that values its people and consistently shapes the future of hospitality globally.
