Job Requirements
- u.s. work authorization required
- ability to regularly stand and use hands to finger, handle, or feel
- ability to reach with hands and arms
- ability to lift, carry, and deliver boxes and items that may weigh up to 50 pounds
Job Qualifications
- at least one year of kitchen experience preferred but not required
- basic math skills including adding, subtracting, and counting change
- legible handwriting
- strong customer service and oral communication skills
- ability to use slicers and heavy equipment if over 18
- specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
Job Duties
- know and understand every item on the menu including portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules
- assume 100% responsibility for quality of products served
- work closely with the chef to provide absolute consistency on every plate
- work on timing to get every ticket out in an appropriate amount of time
- stay focused on designated tasks during prime service hours
- communicate consistently with co-workers
- practice safe knife handling
- always look for ways to be productive when there is time to spare
- open and close the kitchen properly and follow the opening and closing checklist for kitchen stations
