Job Requirements

  • u.s. work authorization required
  • ability to regularly stand and use hands to finger, handle, or feel
  • ability to reach with hands and arms
  • ability to lift, carry, and deliver boxes and items that may weigh up to 50 pounds

Job Qualifications

  • at least one year of kitchen experience preferred but not required
  • basic math skills including adding, subtracting, and counting change
  • legible handwriting
  • strong customer service and oral communication skills
  • ability to use slicers and heavy equipment if over 18
  • specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

Job Duties

  • know and understand every item on the menu including portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules
  • assume 100% responsibility for quality of products served
  • work closely with the chef to provide absolute consistency on every plate
  • work on timing to get every ticket out in an appropriate amount of time
  • stay focused on designated tasks during prime service hours
  • communicate consistently with co-workers
  • practice safe knife handling
  • always look for ways to be productive when there is time to spare
  • open and close the kitchen properly and follow the opening and closing checklist for kitchen stations
