Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience as a Cook or Chef in a culinary environment
  • Ability to follow recipes and kitchen procedures accurately
  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen safety protocols
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform kitchen tasks
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills
  • Willingness to work flexible hours as needed
  • Residency within the state of Texas as a condition of employment
  • Successful completion of mandatory state-required screening process

Job Qualifications

  • Experience as a Cook or Chef in a restaurant or similar setting
  • Positive attitude, endurance, and commitment to continuous learning
  • Ability to value quality, creativity, and teamwork
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
  • Basic culinary skills and familiarity with kitchen equipment
  • Ability to maintain high standards of hygiene and professional appearance

Job Duties

  • Prepare assigned meals following established recipes and gastronomic standards
  • Showcase flair for plating and presentation
  • Maintain temperature charts and food safety records
  • Adhere to sanitation protocols and quality control
  • Notify the Chef of inventory needs and participate in streamlined kitchen operations
  • Uphold professional appearance and kitchen hygiene standards
  • Assist in organizing kitchen, food storage, dish room, and other culinary areas
  • Ensure first-in, first-out food rotation system with proper dating and organization
  • Assist Chef Manager/F&
  • B Director in growing kitchen efficiency and offering staff training opportunities
  • Follow all sanitation, food handling protocols, safety policies, and meet regulatory requirements
