The current opportunity is for a Cook position within this reputable senior living establishment, offering a rewarding career that goes beyond traditional kitchen work. This role focuses on culinary artistry, safety, teamwork, and operational efficiency essential to delivering high-quality meals to residents. The Cook will work under the guidance of the Chef or Food and Beverage Director, responsible for preparing meals according to established recipes and gastronomic standards, ensuring that every dish served not only meets but exceeds expectations in taste and presentation. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience as a Cook or Chef in a culinary environment
- Ability to follow recipes and kitchen procedures accurately
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen safety protocols
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform kitchen tasks
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Willingness to work flexible hours as needed
- Residency within the state of Texas as a condition of employment
- Successful completion of mandatory state-required screening process

Job Duties
- Prepare assigned meals following established recipes and gastronomic standards
- Showcase flair for plating and presentation
- Maintain temperature charts and food safety records
- Adhere to sanitation protocols and quality control
- Notify the Chef of inventory needs and participate in streamlined kitchen operations
- Uphold professional appearance and kitchen hygiene standards
- Assist in organizing kitchen, food storage, dish room, and other culinary areas
- Ensure first-in, first-out food rotation system with proper dating and organization
- Assist Chef Manager/F&
- B Director in growing kitchen efficiency and offering staff training opportunities
- Follow all sanitation, food handling protocols, safety policies, and meet regulatory requirements
