Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in a professional kitchen environment
- passion for cooking and learning
- ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- excellent communication and teamwork skills
- food handler's certification or willingness to obtain
- flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
- physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy items
Job Qualifications
- Active food handler's certification or the ability to obtain it
- willing to work a variety of day, night and weekend shifts
- strong organizational skills
- able to work independently
- able to be on feet for long periods of time
- able to lift at least 50 pounds

Job Duties
- Develop knowledge and skills in various cooking procedures and methods
- grow skills in using knives and various kitchen equipment
- recreate menu items for restaurant and banquets
- develop consistency in cooking and presentation
- minimize food waste through cross utilization
- setup workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
- prepare ingredients to use in cooking such as chopping and peeling vegetables and cutting meat
- use standard practices in kitchen sanitization
- store all food and other items properly
- be responsible for the quality of ingredients
