The Line Cook role at Rivers Casino Des Plaines is an exciting opportunity for culinary professionals passionate about food preparation and presentation within a fast-paced, service-driven environment. This position involves setting up and breaking down cooking stations according to production sheets, preparing and cooking items precisely as ordered by customers, and reheating soups, sauces, and other menu items following daily rotations. The Line Cook is responsible for ensuring excellent presentation of all prepared foods and efficiently managing multiple orders simultaneously. The role requires promptness, professionalism, and positive guest interaction while ensuring compliance with departmental policies, side work assignments, and recipe execution from standardized cards or supervisor guidelines. Rivers Casino emphasizes a cooperative, friendly, and neat appearance among its team members. The position demands adaptability to varying shift schedules, including holidays, and requires the physical ability to perform frequent walking, standing, bending, lifting up to 25 pounds, and working in conditions such as wet floors, temperature extremes, and loud noise. This role is perfect for individuals who thrive under pressure, possess basic knife skills, and hold a valid Illinois Food Handler Certification. The casino fosters career growth and development opportunities, encouraging team members to engage in leadership training and advance their careers.
