Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Prepare, season, and cook dishes such as soups, meats, vegetables, or desserts
- provide departmental training and development
- supervise and participate in kitchen and dining area cleaning activities
- estimate ingredients and supplies required to prepare recipes
- resolve customer complaints regarding food service
- control inventories of food, equipment, small ware, and liquor and report shortages to designated personnel
- follow recipes and read work orders, instructions, formulas, or processing charts
- determine food portions
- identify cuts or grades of meat
- recognize customer intoxication
- understand government health, hotel, or food service regulations
- assist in menu development and food decoration
- monitor food waste and requisition stock, materials, supplies, or equipment
- operate baking, cooking, and food preparation equipment
