Job Description

Pizza Lucé is a renowned pizza restaurant chain based in Minnesota, celebrated for its commitment to quality, fresh ingredients, and a diverse menu that caters to every dietary preference including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. Since its inception in 1993 as a modest pizzeria located in the Minneapolis warehouse district, Pizza Lucé has expanded impressively to nine full-service locations serving the Twin Cities and Duluth. This growth is a testament not only to the exquisite taste of their award-winning pizzas and other menu items but also to the company’s dedication to exceptional guest service and community involvement. They are passionate about fostering a vibrant work culture that values diversity, inclusivity, and mutual respect, making it an excellent environment for employees who are eager to develop their skills in a supportive setting. Additionally, Pizza Lucé takes pride in supporting the local arts and music scene, reinforcing its role as a community cornerstone and an employer with a socially responsible ethos.

As a Cook at Pizza Lucé, you will be at the heart of the kitchen operations, playing a vital role in delivering Minnesota’s best pizza and maintaining the high standards that define the company. This part-time position involves working closing shifts on weekends and weekdays, with an hourly wage ranging from $17 to $20. The role invites individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment and who bring a hardworking and detail-oriented mindset. You will be responsible for assembling menu items with precision, ensuring cleanliness and sanitation of your work area, and adhering strictly to recipe specifications and food safety protocols. Special attention to dietary restrictions such as allergies, veganism, vegetarianism, and gluten-free requirements is paramount, as well as performing diverse kitchen duties including food prep, cooking across different stations such as sauté, pizza, or hoagie line, and supporting the production of catered orders for large events. Efficiency, teamwork, and communication are key elements for success in this role, alongside a passion for food and customer satisfaction.

Beyond the core job functions, working at Pizza Lucé offers numerous benefits aimed at enhancing employee well-being and providing a balanced work-life experience. Employees can participate in a referral program with financial incentives, enjoy free meals during shifts, receive discounts on menu items after hours, and take part in various company events and parties that foster a fun and supportive team atmosphere. Health benefits including dental, vision, accident insurance, medical and dependent care flexible spending accounts, and a 401k plan with an industry-leading company match are available. Employees also receive paid days off, enjoy holidays off such as Christmas and Thanksgiving, and receive premium pay on select holidays. The company’s inclusive culture welcomes people from all walks of life, offering on-the-job training and development opportunities to help workers grow within a reputable and well-established company dedicated to excellence both in its food and its workplace. This is an exciting opportunity to join a passionate team that values skill development, community engagement, and delivering delicious food with heart.
