Known for its welcoming atmosphere that embraces diversity and celebrates individuality, Social Misfits has carved a niche in the food and beverage industry. With a focus on comfort food, their specialty lies in delivering delicious, creatively made scratch waffles using farm-fresh ingredients, locally sourced Michigan maple syrups with distinctive flavors, and artisan coffee roasted by Ferris Coffee Roasting Company. This combination assures guests a memorable visit whether it be for a casual lunch, an extraordinary dinner, or a lively brunch with drinks. The ambiance echoes the nostalgic charm of a speakeasy lounge with a modern twist, providing a cozy yet exciting environment for patrons of all kinds. Established to be more than just a café, Social Misfits thrives as a hub of good food, rich culture, and social connection.
The role of a Line Cook at Social Misfits is vital to maintaining the high culinary standards and smooth kitchen operations that the establishment is known for. This position offers a hands-on opportunity to engage in all aspects of food preparation, from ingredient cleaning and prepping to cooking and plating. The Line Cook is an essential team player who works closely with servers and the kitchen team to ensure orders meet quality standards and are timely delivered. Responsibilities include managing various cooking techniques such as grilling, frying, and sautéing according to specific recipes. Maintaining a clean and hygienic workstation is paramount, as is compliance with food safety regulations. This full-time role reports to the General Manager, Executive Chef, Kitchen Manager, and Lead Line, offering growth potential within a dynamic hospitality company that values passion and professionalism in kitchen staff.
