Job Description
Valor Hospitality is a passionate collective of Hotelitarians-driven, detail-obsessed professionals dedicated to delivering true hospitality that goes beyond just service. With a global perspective and a strong commitment to thoughtful hospitality and sustainable dining, Valor Hospitality fosters enthusiasm, creativity, and local flair in every property it supports. The company values individuals who cherish relationships, uphold high standards, and create meaningful experiences not only for guests but also for team members and owners alike. Valor Hospitality's approach emphasizes noticing the little things that contribute to making a lasting impression on guests. The company supports an engaging work culture where hospitality professionals thrive by delivering exceptional dining experiences and creating lasting impacts.
The Culinary Team Member role at Valor Hospitality involves preparing culinary delights for guests and hotel clientele, ensuring that guest satisfaction revolves around food appearance, quality, and an outstanding overall dining experience. This role is vital within the kitchen environment, where the Culinary Team Member is responsible for preparing food items daily at various stations such as the pantry and fry stations. The position demands adherence to production requirements and quality standards while maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment.
In this role, Culinary Team Members follow recipe cards, use records, and production and portion standards to consistently prepare food of high quality. They manage food preparation to avoid excess while ensuring all orders are correctly assembled and delivered in a timely manner. Proper food handling procedures, including dating and rotating food containers per standard operating procedures, are strictly observed to maintain safety and freshness. The Culinary Team Member also monitors inventory by checking pars for shift requirements, preparing necessary food items, assisting with buffet stocking, and reporting any shortages. Additionally, the role involves managing food cost issues and controlling food waste to contribute to the profitability of the hotel.
This position requires attention to detail, efficiency in multitasking multiple orders, and the physical ability to carry out kitchen tasks such as lifting and handling heavy items. It offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic hotel environment where the commitment to hospitality excellence is paramount. Valor Hospitality rewards its team members with competitive compensation and a variety of benefits designed to support employee well-being and growth within the company.
