Established over 100 years ago, Delaware North is family-owned and operates globally, providing unique career growth opportunities across multiple hospitality sectors. Currently, Delaware North Parks and Resorts is seeking talented and motivated seasonal Line Cooks to join their team at Shenandoah National Park, Virginia. The company prides itself on fostering a supportive team environment and delivering exceptional guest experiences in some of the most beautiful and natural settings in the United States.

This location provides a vibrant backdrop for team members who enjoy spending time outdoors and engaging in various recreational activities such as hiking, camping, cycling, fishing, and even horseback riding. The parks and resorts team at Delaware North offers employees not only a job but a unique lifestyle experience surrounded by nature. Employees benefit from low-cost, recently updated dormitory housing with utilities and wifi included, free daily meals for those in employee housing, and free rides to the nearby town of Luray.

The role of the seasonal Line Cook is essential to the success of the food service operations at Shenandoah National Park. This fast-paced position requires strong multitasking skills, the ability to work efficiently under pressure, and a passion for cooking and serving guests from all over the world. Eligible hourly team members will receive an incentive of $500 if they complete the work season through November 29, 2026, with a competitive hourly wage of $19.00.

Line Cooks will perform various responsibilities such as properly measuring, portioning, and cooking food items promptly, maintaining safe food temperatures, performing opening and closing duties, and keeping their workstations clean, organized, and well-stocked. Waste control procedures must be followed, including the proper documentation of food waste. This role demands manual dexterity for chopping and blending food items, the physical ability to carry large pans up to 50 pounds, and withstand constant standing, walking, and repetitive motions in variable temperature environments.

This position is ideal for candidates with at least one year of experience as a prep or line cook who enjoy working in dynamic, customer-facing environments. No high school diploma or GED is required, making this opportunity accessible to a wide range of applicants looking to gain valuable culinary experience and work in a world-class destination. Delaware North also values diversity and inclusion, pledging equal employment opportunity to all applicants regardless of race, gender, age, disability, or any other protected status.

As part of the Delaware North team, seasonal Line Cooks will gain exposure to comprehensive training and development programs, which can lead to advancement and internal mobility within the company and across the country. The company offers a comprehensive benefits package, including weekly pay, discounted meals, employee discounts, and more. Delaware North is committed to creating a welcoming and supportive workplace where employees can excel professionally while enjoying the natural beauty and recreational activities offered by Shenandoah National Park. Join Delaware North Parks and Resorts and become part of a global legacy shaping the future of hospitality.
