Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years experience working as a line cook in a fast-paced kitchen
  • Open availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to stand for long periods, bend, twist, and kneel
  • Possession of or willingness to obtain a Food Handler’s Card
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to follow detailed recipes and instructions

Job Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience as a line cook in a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen
  • Open availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with teammates and managers
  • Ability to memorize and follow recipes, accurately measure ingredients, and adhere to food preparation guidelines
  • Demonstrated skill in knife handling and proficiency with kitchen equipment
  • Knowledge of proper food safety and sanitation practices
  • Valid Food Handler’s Card or willingness to obtain during training
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, and kneel for the duration of shifts
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and maintain composure under pressure while ensuring high-quality results

Job Duties

  • Prepare, cook, and plate food to order according to recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines
  • Follow safety protocols and kitchen practices to ensure a safe working environment
  • Set up and maintain an organized, clean kitchen station daily, ensuring all ingredients, tools, and equipment are stocked and ready for service
  • Properly handle, store, and rotate ingredients using FIFO (First In, First Out) to maintain product quality and freshness
  • Operate and maintain kitchen equipment, ensuring cleanliness and proper functioning
  • Complete prep lists and other kitchen checklists before service begins
  • Execute cleaning duties to maintain a sanitary kitchen environment
  • Communicate with the manager at the beginning and end of each shift to ensure smooth operations
  • Perform any other tasks required for efficient kitchen operations
