Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Five or more years of relevant kitchen or culinary experience
  • Valid State Food Handler's License
  • Proven ability to handle food safely and maintain sanitary conditions
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Capability to manage opening and closing kitchen duties
  • Physical stamina to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks

Job Qualifications

  • Five plus years industry experience
  • Ability to cook proteins to predetermined temperatures
  • Ability to cook and direct a banquet for up to 100 guests with small team assistance
  • Necessary State Food Handler's License
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and memos
  • Ability to present information effectively in small group and one on one situations
  • Working knowledge of all mother and minor sauces
  • Working knowledge of proper butchering techniques
  • Knowledge of specialized equipment including slicer, robo-coup, hobart, convection ovens
  • Possess knife skills
  • Ability to adjust preparations for flavor and accommodate customer needs timely

Job Duties

  • Prepare new menu items and daily preparation requirements
  • Provide guidance to line cooks
  • Conduct inventories
  • Ensure sanitary and well-maintained food preparation areas
  • Handle safe food practices
  • Open and close kitchen procedures
  • Accommodate customer needs promptly
