The Line Cook - Seasonal role is an exciting opportunity for those passionate about culinary arts and eager to grow in a dynamic, fast-paced brewery kitchen environment. This position is specifically tailored for the summer season, running from May through August, making it ideal for seasonal workers or anyone looking to expand their skills while working in a lively setting. As a Line Cook, you will be integral to the daily kitchen operations, working closely with both kitchen and front-of-house teams to prepare and plate food that consistently meets the high standards that Sapporo-Stone Brewing is known for.

This role is tip-eligible and offers hands-on experience in a high-volume kitchen where efficiency, quality, and teamwork are paramount. You will be actively involved in tasks such as cooking various types of meats, seafood, poultry, and vegetables using multiple kitchen equipment including grills, broilers, ovens, and fryers. Strict adherence to recipes and plating standards ensures each dish delivered to the guest is not only delicious but visually appealing, reinforcing the company's reputation for culinary excellence. Additionally, as part of the kitchen team, you will have opportunities to assist in special events, supporting the creation of unique menus that enhance the overall guest experience.

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2-3+ years of experience in a high-volume kitchen environment
  • San Diego County Food Handler Card or ability to obtain one
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
  • Reliable transportation
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and team-first mindset

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other menu items using grills, broilers, ovens, fryers, and other equipment
  • Follow recipes and plating standards to ensure consistency and quality
  • Expedite orders and communicate clearly with the kitchen and FOH teams
  • Assist with events and special menus as needed
  • Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary workstations
  • Rotate inventory and ensure proper food storage and freshness
  • Support training and teamwork on the line
  • Follow all health, safety, and sanitation regulations
