Columbia Hospitality has earned consistent recognition as one of the Top Companies to Work for in Washington by Seattle Business Magazine and Puget Sound Business Journal, a testament to their commitment to fostering a fun, dynamic, and nurturing work environment for team members. They prioritize values such as accountability, creativity, enthusiasm, honesty, inclusion, and respect, which are deeply embedded in their organizational culture.

One of the unique properties under Columbia Hospitality’s umbrella is Sage Lodge, located on more than a mile of Yellowstone riverfront, just 35 minutes from Yellowstone National Park. Sage Lodge combines the raw and rugged beauty of Paradise Valley with warm Montana hospitality, offering guests breathtaking views of Emigrant Peak and an array of outdoor activities including hiking, horseback riding, biking, and fishing. The lodge features 50 rustically elegant guestrooms, the Fireside Room for dining, and The Spa at Sage Lodge for relaxation and rejuvenation. This extraordinary setting not only attracts guests from around the world but also provides a remarkable workplace environment.

The Line Cook II position at Sage Lodge is a key role within the culinary team, focused on crafting quality menu items and contributing to exceptional guest experiences. This role involves preparing daily food requirements, reading and interpreting recipes, conducting inventory, and strictly adhering to sanitation and safe food handling procedures. The importance of consistency, quality, and collaboration is emphasized to ensure the highest standard of food offerings. The pay range for this hourly position is between $20 and $23 per hour, dependent on experience, with the added perk of daily pay opportunities.

Additionally, the Line Cook II benefits from a comprehensive package including paid time off, holiday pay, medical, dental, vision, disability coverage, 401K plans, and employer contributions to HSA/FSA accounts. The company promotes a vibrant culture known as #OMGLIFE, which welcomes fresh perspectives and values contributions from all employees. Supportive programs such as referral bonuses, discounted lodging, dining, spa, golf, retail, volunteer opportunities, committee engagements, career growth initiatives, online learning platforms, and third-party discounts enrich the employee experience.

The role requires previous cooking experience, possession of the necessary State Food Handler's License(s), strong knife skills, the ability to tweak food preparations to meet flavor standards, and the capability to accommodate customer needs efficiently. Effective communication skills for presenting information in group and individual settings are also essential. Columbia Hospitality emphasizes inclusivity and encourages applicants from diverse backgrounds, even if they do not meet every qualification perfectly, reflecting their commitment to an authentic and diverse workplace.
